What is Lingua Cusco?

"Lingua Cusco" is part of the "Asociación Pukllasunchis". Pukllasunchis means "Let’s play" in Quechua. This private, but state aproved association works in the educational domain. Since 1980 it has been offering and developing a successful educational programme in the region of Cusco. This includes setting up nursery schools in the “Barrios” (ghettos of Cusco), and further education courses for teachers in and around Cusco. The main focus of the institution consists in building up a model school for 750 children of all ages and from various social backgrounds. This pilot project is highly regarded throughout Peru, especially for its innovative concept of intercultural education.

The profits of the Language Center are invested in the social projects of Pukllasunchis.
